CTV News recently broadcast a piece by CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta about how Dance Dance Revolution can help fight obesity. The video is available on CTV's website.

Wow, good to see DDR get publicity. I just hope that doesn't sound DDR into another "weight loss trend" like subway or those carb things. You know? Maybe if it gets more popular, we'll be more likely to see new mixes? Maybe? Anyone? I am so lonely.

They pass by what looks like a Street Fighter 3: Third Strike arcade machine and suggest that maybe games like it can be more active. Huh, they already have that. It's called LARP for Live Action Role Play. Also how can SF3:TS be more active? That would be like making an exercise machine out of a chess game.

Bemani should really team up with some sports/fitness company. Anything along those lines would definately be bank.

(Also, DDR, should be an olympic sport)

I was 250lbs, but now I'm down to a respectable size, and I can pass LOM on heavy. I am 13.

Is this the same DDR news story that was on FOX40 News last night? I also recorded that one so that I could share it with others.

It ammuses me to see all of these fat people lose weight and everyone throws a party, when I'm actually trying to gain weight and play ddr. Anyone have any suggestions? Tried the fatty foods. Tried steak. Tried over eating. I do believe my metabolism is just too high. Anywho. Please post. drool.gif

... I submitted this article and video! I never knew it would actually get posted... laugh.gif SWEET! Here's my topic: click here

Oh yeah... I also found out that tomorrow (July 7th) on ABC7 (KABC, Los Angeles) that there is going to be DDR on the ABC7 Eyewitness news, the time isn't confirmed (it could be at 5:00am - 7:00am or 6:30pm!) I'm gonna watch both times just in case! E1.gif

For Directv people i think it's on channel: 387
For DISHNET people i think it's on channel: 246

Enjoy! E1.gif

I've actually gained 15 or 20 lbs playing DDR in the last couple months. I've actually slimmed down, and gained all that weight in muscle. So I guess I'm not really of any help =p. But if you are curiuos, I'm not eating differently or trying to lose weight or anything, just being myself and playing a crapton of DDR biggrin.gif

250 => 230 lbs. in about 4 1/2 months playing DDR alone.
I'm still slightly chunky and large so I need to change my eating habits (to accomodate my slow metabolism =/). But at least I can clear So Deep with no prob ^ _ ^

Hey, DDR has made my knee problem go away... Bsaically the short of it was I tore something in my knee by having it slammed against the corner of a vending machine, then a year later i slammed it quite hard against the back of a metal chair... I was jumping over chairs to get to a vender at a hockey game. My knees have been really sensitive since and therefore because of it I refuse to do kneedrops. But DDR has made my leg muscles so strong that i dont feel my knees that much, also I dont feel them getting stiff from sitting too much. So thank you DDR for making my life a little easier to live.
