Dance Dance Revolution Party Collection was released in Japan on the 11th.

Yes Asia has both the game and the soundtrack for sale.

Konami has also revealed two secret characters. Train and Bus from the Long Train Runnin' video. Several people have noticed them from the DDR Party Collection screen shots.

Konami also has revealed four new songs.
Vision F - Can Be Real
Be For U - Freedom
Supa Fova - I Need You (Insideout Door Mix)
TERRA - Stars*** (2nd Naoki's Style)

I don't understand. Is Party Collection going to be a new Arcade Version as well? I doubt it, but if it is, could somebody please enlighten me? Anyways, Awesome! I can't believe Konami released THREE DDR's in two months! Keep in mind two of them are in Japan. Dang, I wish I lived in Japan.

Install fliptop; problem solved.

Yes, the Max2 US-Extreme JP-PC JP triple combo has been very sweet. Even moreso for me, because I got Max2 JP in the middle of it. Yay imports!

Yay, another DDR game I can buy and not be able to play. The reason I can't play imports is, because I don't have a universal PS2 or a modded PS2. Well, that's cool that there's a new DDR game out.

It is crazy....3 DDR games in 2 months!?

You kinda gotta admit, a gaming company as big as Konami is bound to do something crazy like this...but man....this is probably bigger than...than..actually I can't think of anything that's as big as what Konami did...DDR Extreme and Party Mix coming out a month away from each other? and Max 2 in the US? I think Konami is about to do something bigger next year when you think about it. Like maybe another Arcade Machine if possible....hopefully. E1.gif

No. Party Collection is more like "DDR Extreme home version, part 2 of 2." The home version of DDR Extreme that came out a few months ago didn't have any of the old licensed songs, and had some missing old Konami Original songs as well. DDR Party Collection has most* of the old licensed songs from the arcade, as well as some licensed songs not found in Extreme arcade, Konami Originals not found in Extreme home version, some brand new songs and a new color scheme.

*Little Bitch and Saints Go Marching are not in Party Collection. E2.gif All of the licensed songs from MAX and MAX2 are not in the game either, except for Witch Doctor.

OK, Party Mix is great and Konami has had a sudden surge of DDR lately, but I ponder this: Does anyone out there know if Konami has a US release date for Extreme or Party Mix? Call me a n00b...but like the 99.9% of the people out there I'm asking this, hey just to see what I get I guess...

Judging by Konami's history of Releasing a DDR Game Overseas (I.E. North America) 4-6 Months should be appropriate. But, I wouldn't hold my breath for it. I'm perfectly happy with MAX2 and Ultramix. You could always import, which is surprisingly very cheap from Yes Asia.

Actually, Konami has NEVER released a Japanese version in the US. That won't change anytime soon, either, due to the licensing restrictions and different tastes of many American players.

Expect a new US PS2 version sometime next year. Maybe it will be called Extreme, but the song list will probably be much different.

This overall sounds pretty cool. I don't import but still looks like the DDR community is still NOT dead.

GO us.

No. It's Best Hits Vol. 2 essentially. Big bunch of licensed songs that were and a big bunch of Konami Original songs left off Extreme CS. A couple new songs, a couple repeats, and voila, you've got a fairly unimpressive mix.

We're not getting party collection in the U.S. Count on it. The next PS2 DDR will have the four new songs, stuff by Daft Punk and Aphex Twin and have 100+ songs with 20+ repeats. Don't try to argue. It's the truth.

While I hate to rain on the parade here ...

Do. Not. Order. From. YesAsia.com.

Lately they have been nothing short of annoying. In the past six months I tried ordering three things from them ... two soundtracks, and one game.

The result has been two refunds after two months of waiting for each, and probably a third refund due to their incompetency.
