Hey guys, does anyone know how to properly configure DDR X and X2 for an LCD TV? Konami gives /no/ help on how to do this. frown.gif

For example, in DDR X they give you a slower song to configure the timing to. I get it so it seems correct, but when i play a faster song like Poseidon, the timing is completely off. Also, my tv is 120htz, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the help in advance!! E4.gif

Just keep trying. If necessary, configure it to something that seems right-ish and then test it on a faster song. If it's wrong on the faster song, give it another go. If you can play other songs fine but not a faster song, perhaps its your own timing that's off.
Unfortunately, new shiny technology doesn't always mean it's faster or better.

Make sure the 120Hz enhanced/smoothing mode on your TV is OFF. That feature will try to create and insert extra frames that never existed in the source material. This is likely why your timing is messed up, as you aren't getting the correct 60fps output the game was intended to display, and there is going to be processing lag involved when interpolating a 60fps source to 120fps . Just leave it off so you get the most accurate display. Like said, shiny new things are not always better.

If your television has a setting called Game Mode, enable it. Game Mode speeds up the refresh rate so that video games can sync properly with the television. As far as X and X2 are concerned, enable progressive scan. Progressive scan draws the entire frame so the television doesn't have to. Only X and X2 support progressive scan, and you need the component cable to view it. For X, hold triangle and X as you boot the game to enable progressive scan. For X2, go to Graphics Options in the Options Menu to enable progressive scan. You will have to enable progressive scan every time you play, however.
