As said in the title, is there a program where I can create my own stepcharts to my own music?

Well on Stepmania I know you can make your own steps to songs, I'm just not sure if you can only create stepcharts for the simfiles you downloaded or if you can make them for any song. I think you can do it for any song, I'm still experimenting with it.

Step 1- get stepmania. If you've never had stepmania before, I recommend version 3.9. Once you're familiar with it, move up to a more recent release
Step 2- Create a folder in the "Songs" folder that is named "My Creations" or something like that (doesn't matter). Then create a folder inside of that one and call it whatever your song is named.
Step 3- Place your song in the folder (It has to be .mp3 or .ogg)
Step 4- Open notepad. Save the blank notepad file as "songname.sm". You MUST click "All files" for this to work. There's also another way, but this is how I do it.
Step 5- Move the .sm file to the [name of your song] folder

The folder should look like this...

C:\Program Files/stepmania/songs/my simfiles/name of your song.mp3
C:\Program Files/stepmania/songs/my simfiles/name of your song.sm

Step 6- Open stepmania, go to edit mode, and figure it out from there.

NOTE: to change the offset, press F11 and F12. To change the BPM, press F7 or F8. To activate the handclap (assist tick), press either F4 or F7 while the chart is playing.
