ITGPS2 Unlock trouble

Where do I enter the full unlock code? "Title menu" doesn't help me for some reason. I've tried it everywhere and it doesn't seem to work. Is it on the screen where it says "Dance Mode, etc.", the screen that says "In The Groove" (which makes the most sense but doesn't work), or some other screen?

You have to do it on the screen where you can pick like battle mode and options and stuff if it works you should see three star type things.

also it may help to enter the code on a controller instead of a dance pad

right you might already be using a controller, but if you arent using one use it. I think you have to input it reletively fast.
