Hey guys. New here. Here's hoping someone knows how to fix this problem.

December 2006, I ordered a Ninja metal dance pad(XPG-3000) and had a blast. Yay verily. 20 days later, the Up, Down, Left, and B buttons stopped working. I sent the control box in, where the manufacturer replaced it.

I just got it back today, wired everything up, and those buttons still don't work. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to fix this issue so I dont have to sink another 70$ in shipping/2 weeks of waiting, or another 150$ on a new dance pad.

For reference, here's the pad.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Open it up and make sure the wires connected to the contacts. If it has foil contacts that got ripped, I recommend you go buy some sheet metal from HomeDepot or Lowes or whatever.

If the buttons work part of the time, but not all the time, it's probably the sensors. The cheapest way to fix the sensors is to cover a sheet of stencil plastic in copper tape and replace whatever's on there, but a better way to do it is to get a few sheets of steel (make sure it'll conduct electricity; some varieties won't) or copper and use those, attaching with contact cement.
