So the basic question here is do you play with the bar or without

I play with it on the hardest expert songs otherwise i dont touch it

i always play with the bar. keeps me from getting anything below a 92.XX on every song besides pandemonium, and euphoria.

Anything 390 bpm and lower i play barless, even some 10s and 11s.

Jesus christ. Of all the classic overdone, overdebated, overposted threads, this is probably the king. Some people use the bar and others do not. Do we need a thread about this?

I use the bar most of the time..cause it not only helps me with the hard $hit but it helps me keep control of my body which gives me more fantastic. I love the bar.

I use the bar. I play with the bar all the time. I make the BPM 400 to 600 which is my ideal playing range with the bar. I'm quite good with the bar but I have been known to do quite a lot of accomplishments without the bar. (ie. My first double star = Lemmings on the Run Hard without the bar.)

Not to be rude but I think people look really weird when they DONT use the bar. They put there hands up like a dinosaur and sway back and forth like and idiot.
I allwase use the bar unless its under 8 feet, unless i feal like it... The only time its not cool is free style which i dont do anyway.

9 footers-No, but possibly for some very short spurts.
10 Footers-Maybe. I wouldn't use it on Anubis but for some parts, but for Remember December I'd want to.
11 Footers-Yes
12 Footers-Yes
13 Footer-Well, I haven't even come near passing it.

I use the bar now when I play ITG because I realized how stable and balanced it makes you

I mostly use the bar on 9 footer songs and almost always on 10 footers, and always on 11 footers. When I use the bar, I use less energy, and I can play longer.

i've learned to love using the bar for ITG, it's the only reason why i'm slowly improving and getting better. without the bar i probably couldn't do the majority of the Expert 9's. DDR on the other hand feels awkward using the bar, that and you can't adjust the speed to C400.
