It looks good, I plan on getting it for the Ps2 and hope my pad from Prex3 works.

USB support please. >E10.gif

Didn't the Korean Exceed allow use of the USB pads too?

Mastiff has put the quality of the pads at a high priority.

For example: There is a very minute lag time when pads are used connected through USB. Although not noticeable to most players, Mastiff notices it and doesn't care for it, so they have fixed it.

MadCatz is not in control of the actual production of the pad. The pads will be similar to the Korean released ones but better due to the fact that they are 2nd generation pads and have been through a series of updates.

So we all have nothing to worry about. Pump is in good hands with Mastiff. If you want to meet the man in charge of Mastiff, Bill Swartz, come to the first official Pump event in the U.S. - Dallas Texas, May 28.

http://www.piugame.com/tempst_bbs/event/board_list.php?tbname=kor_event&no=94

Atendees may get the chance play the U.S. release before it is released! This has yet to be confirmed so check on piugame for updates.

Cobalt Fluxs don't work for Pump it Up due to the panels not being the correct size... in otherwords it sucks for anything higher than hard mode... and even then you have trouble on a flux.

Eh, we made our own control boxes for PIU on Flux and although it definitely takes some getting used to, it's defintely playable. I can beat the Crazy songs without worrying about getting lost on the pad now, although at first it was kind of odd.

Thats all fine and dandy that you can get used to them for Crazy mode but using them for actual freestyle or nightmare mode stinks in comparison to a regular old soft PIU pad.

It works, but the buttons aren't mapped correctly and the Korean version had no way to remap them. Maybe this new version will include the remapping capabilities, then it will work correctly. And the Korean pads are awesome, except for the whole shorting out thing. Hopefully these won't be USB.

Gack, what's wrong with you people?! Mad Katz is publishing the game, sure, but that does NOT necessarily mean they'll have anything to do with making the pads. Personally, I'm guessing that the bundles will ship with genuine Andamiro equipment, refined since the Korean release.

If for some odd reason they do manufacture the pads, I'm sure Mastiff and Andamiro will ensure that it's to their specifications. Look at it this way: Acclaim ported Crazy Taxi to PS2 and GameCube. Was it a horribly-done second-rate imitation? No, it was a competent port, made to the specifications of the original. Don't worry so much!!

This is going to suck. Mad Katz has NEVER released a good product. Even if they aren't developing it, they're going to find some way of ruining the game.

ive got mad katz products fomr back in the day that were as good as the old asciiware stuff and that being said my mad katz DDR pad put up with me (300 pounds) playing heavy for well over a year on it (and through me violently ripping the cord in half TWICE and splicing it back together) ;lets just see what comes up with the pad before we judge

that bieng said i will be getting a red octain pad for it if just for the fact that the RO will probably have a multi system connection like the DDR ignition pads

Will the pad for the PlayStation 2 still be USB, or will it plug directly into the controller port this time?

Hopefully the experience helps Madcatz grow in quality. As for the whole Madcatz being publisher thing, Im kinda hopeful, maybe it will affect the time it will be distributed, cause Im doubtful it will be out before june.

Last I check Valenti was still on the songlist... so I don't think you have anything to worry about... they can't call it Exceed and get rid of the 25 songs that make Exceed, Exceed right?

Konami didn't have any trouble doing that with "Extreme". Ha ha.

I saw that someone had some question about the song list, and that no one had reposted the list that was revealed shortly after the game was announced back in February.

Please note that only 85 out of the approximately 100 songs announced to be on the final version are here. Enjoy! Have fun with this list, I redid it so that it would be in alphabetical order and stuff. Hehe! nerd.gif
