Hell.. I sparked some ridiculous drama on the first couple pages.
In reply to my post on the first page (and the comments following):
ITG3 will be better than ITG2 because:
1.) Dragostea Din Tei (or Ma Ya Hi, in english)
2.) More 7 footers, which in my opinion, are the more creative step level. I've seen some pretty nice 10s and 11s though.
3.) Pink Fuzzy Bunnies Expert (12) chart... if that was the real chart I saw a video of, that is officially the best 12 ever. And the song is awesome.
4.) Frozen Fire Expert
5.) Esperanza Expert
6.) Disconnected Zeo Expert
7.) Stop & Go (just the song), Expert steps on it ain't too great.
8.) 3rd game ='s more experience with music gaming, RoXoR has more experence in pleasing players now, unlike 1 and 2, and seem to already be picking better songs and making better charts. Disconnected Zeo EX is AMAZING.
On the note of SuperNOVA's "J-pop girls screeching":
I'm not too into J-pop actually, some of it is ok. Curus, Innocence of Silence, Xepher, Red Zone, DoLL, CSFIL Euro Mix, Mr. Dabada, and so on and so forth is what I'm really into (even though DoLL is J-pop, its still awesome).
I'm very open to new games, I'm not a "fanboy" (though by stating this, I'll just get called one more, but I don't care). I may not be able to stand playing ITG2 for that long, but i've given it multiple chances, and it just doesn't tickle my fancy. I do enjoy Pump It Up alot, though. Quite the dance game.
RoXoR is really pulling through with ITG3 from what I've seen so far, it might make me /want/ to play ITG. Something 1 and 2 just haven't done.
I like doing songs with Curus-like steps. It's a personal preference of mine, but I can still tell what steps are fun and what are not, even with the preference.
So yeah... anyway, just get back to posting your own opinions on the games people, no need to single people out. _________________

OK, WE FUCKING GET IT ALREADY.
Seriously, nearly all of your posts here have at least once said that you loved ITG2 and hated SuperNOVA. YOU ONLY NEED TO SAY IT ONCE. _________________

The video is gone now, Tyrgannus
It was on www.myspace.com/inthegroove3music. (BTW, the user has been removed from Myspace) Whether it was real or not, I don't know.. I'm about 80% sure it was the real stuff.
Oh, and Brian Ho from IndyDDR sums up my opinion of ITG VERY well..
Brian Ho from IndyDDR.com wrote: | As for ITG, I have to admit that I haven't given it much of a chance. I've played both ITG and ITG2 maybe one or two times each. But in each of those games I just never found a song that really got me excited. They're generally not bad songs, they just didn't catch my attention and suck me in. And if I'm not feeling the music, it's really hard for me to get into freestyling--which is my primary interest in dancing games.
I was also given an ITG soundtrack around the release of the game. I listened to it all the way through, and none of the songs really made me want to hear them again. Again, it's not that I hated them, I just didn't connect with them. Although to be fair, many of my favorite songs on DDR are songs that I grew fond of by playing them. I obviously don't have that effect going for me with ITG.
On the PA side of the coin, the really unique and challenging stuff is just too darn hard for me and more frustrating and painful than fun. The easier stuff I just find to be rather dull.
(one line removed) It's just that unlike DDR and PIU, playing a couple games didn't compel me to want to play more. So there's some sort of hook that's missing there for me. I don't intend to bash the game...I just don't personally find it all that interesting. |

honestly for me, SN got boring after 1 hour of gameplay. i noticed some of the songs are TERRIBLY offsync. also there are too few 10-footers (a.k.a. hard shyt)
i also am mostly a doubles players, and i managed to put in $ for some doubles SN. i can say that the charts i played are pretty boring, and max 300 super-max-me mix heavy was just too easy on doubles. DanDanDO heavy (or expert) was far too boring for a doubles chart, and almost SDG'd it on my first attempt
ITG2 is the kind of game i can play all day, SN is a game i'll play like 3 times in 1 day. i don't see myself spending an entire day playing SN.
plus i hate j-pop. can't stand it _________________

Yes, I've never played Nova. Even if it sucked, I'd still like it better. True Fanboy. _________________
