i actually made a similar thread like this...the only difference is that i was asking about the TX-4000. in any case, they both look promising because it seems that all the parts are made out of metal. my thread was locked because i was told there would be a thread in the bemani controllers subforum...even though there wasn't.

anyway yeah both the TX4000/6000 look quite good IMO.

WHOO its here and i have a somewhat descriptive review

First of all, I took a long stare at its beauty...
(10 mins later, lol jk)
It was double boxed like they said it would be and in perfect shape. The control box had its own box so that was nice, the bar was the first thing to come out because it was just in the box, not attached to anything, but the supporters were already so that saved me time.

Assembly was slightly annoying. The bar was a bit hard to get into place, but it didnt take EXTREME measures to get it in. Came with a tool to put in the bar and adjust the supports. After bout nother 10 mins, it was ready to go.

So far, i have only been able to play it on ps2 and xbox, cuz i idk how to set it up on comp(came with no instructions disgust.gif ) The sensors are very nice, it is metal pad so u gotta hit it harder, duh Plays nice barefoot, but hands are an issue(if u play ITG) u gotta like punch the pad to make it respond, but all in all, the sensors are very good and durable, but im gonna have to figure out that sheet metal mod to make it better.

Bar is very sturdy, but i havent used too much just yet.

Overall, very nice, shiny, metal pad. Ill edit this review anytime something else i miss is noticed by someone

Questions, comments, possibly pictures?
Ill be happy to answer, cuz i have a feeling i might of missed something, im back off to dancing! TTYL!!!

Nice, you know you said you gotta press down on the sensors pretty hard, does that you mean u gotta like stamp on it? Or do you just out your weight on it? E4.gif

since its just like the arcade, just press your weight on it just a bit more than on a normal pad, u dont have to crush the arrow

Im still wondering if u were slam too hard that the arrow would bend...
I really hope that doesnt happen, but so far its standing really nice and strong

are the arrows recessed? or is the surface completely flat?
and if you have played on other metal pads before, please compare them with this one.
btw, to play with PC, all you do is plug the usb thing in.

the arrows are not recessed, but it doesnt bother me at all, besides, i think it would be easy to mod if it bothers u
IMO i find it slightly better than the actual arcade pad, being its the only other metal pad ive played on
I have it plugged in right now, it says its installed, but it doesnt recognize it, i tried it on another computer and it worked fine, is it cuz XP isnt compatible or sumthing? i want it to work on the computer really bad so i dont have to go the arcade all the time E15.gif

UNder the arrow, its the same as other txs, the piece of contact foil and the copper piece. i could get a picture, but i dun have a camera right now.

what i dont like about it is the soldering is the top of the copper, exposed. It should be under...

i hadnt really noticed at first they broke at first, but during a song, i was using the bar and halfway through i hear a snapping and cracking of some sort. I just thought it was the bar settling lol
i do and dont regret buying because:
Do Regret:
1. I forgot to include this on the main review. It is considerably louder when you use shoes. I know thats given but when ur 16 and still are with ur parents, it pisses them off, so i probably have to move it to the garage or basement. But as long as it plays the same...
Dont Regret:
1. It is shiny.
2. Very sturdy, except for the bar supporters, and very quiet when u DONT use shoes(almost no sound)
3. Starting to get more responsive, and thats a good sign, just had to break it in...
I really do like this pad. It is worth the money. Recommended!

I NEED A BAR. lol so i am currently using a chair for a bar, but it slides alot even with over 60 pounds in it lol.... so should i get this pad or stick with my ignitions???
