Actually, in mixes after DDRMAX (inclusive of DDRMAX) there are actually 24 different shuffle patterns. Thus making shuffle a bit more complex. Also in those same mixes, if both players use shuffle (and turn it on from the options menu, NOT from the song select screen by using the foot codes) then they will recieve the EXACT same shuffle pattern. And just for the record, in 5th mix and older, there are only 8 shuffle patterns...
