What are bad things to do in playing DDR?

Bar raping for tech is ok with me. I do it sometimes when I'm playing on 3x. Especially MaxX 1.5x during the first set of double jumps. I dont find anything wrong in bar raping...(FOR SPECIFIC reasons) bar raping during Free style is pretty bad.....bad looking, sloppy, and just not right...and possibly bar rapers that play not for tech but to just pass, that to me.....is pretty bad.

Bad - people who actually step on the arrows when they play. You might hurt them (and heaven forbid they get jumped on)

Um, seriously... Bad = judging a person because of how they choose to play a video game.

from a PA standpoint it's bad to return to the middle square of the pad between arrows; that'll get you about halfway through 4 footers.

This thread is giving you all a chance to complain, just quit insulting each other, stick to your own views.

For my personal opinion, i think that if you can play without mods and without the bar, it doesnt matter what you do. However, if you can only play with mods and/or bar, you should at least work towards playing unaltered. Whoever was right though, its pretty ignorant to judge someone based on how they play a video game . . .

My turn to show my views:

Bar Raping (since this seems to be the big thing): I don't do it, but I don't really care who else likes it. I believe that you should be able to support your own weight, but if someone wants to bar rape, doesn't bother me. Doesn't make them any less of a player, that's just their style of playing.

People that drink water: wtf? Does that even deserve a response?

What pisses me off... hmm... that list is long...

1) People that think they are better than everyone else when they play standards and everyone else is playing lights.

2) People that have to make an excuse every time they fail a song when they've tried it 40 times and have never passed it. If you can't do it, stop making it look like you can. Practice, conquer, then brag.

3) People hogging the DDR machine

4) Arcades that own a machine that don't know a damn thing of what they're doing.

5) Newbies and children that don't know what they're doing (they just don't fail fast enough...)

6) People that play the same 3 songs over and over, and think they're the best around.

7) Newbie children that play the same 3 songs (or in my experience, 1998) over and over, with their parents screaming about how good their kids are.

8) Ego trips of the good players. (the ones that know should teach the willing).

That's about it.

And by the way, I am from Hagerstown, Maryland, and if I can figure out where you're from exactly, I'll try to stop in sometime, if it isn't on the other coast of Maryland.

I don't mind if people are playing the game for the first time and they play beginner or light mode. But I noticed with thousands of people that they time an arrow wrong and get a few misses, they feel the machine is messed up and start stomping the crap of the machines. I've noticed some people in PA matches playing heavy losing their temper and stomping the machines because they got a great instead of a Perfect.
