well, I consider it only close-minded if you haven't already tried the game for yourself, or watched a friend play it a few times. if you've already tried the game and still hate it then it's not close-minded. same thing goes with everything else in the world. don't automatically hate it unless you've tried it or seen it in action at least a couple of times. like the overused quote says: "don't hate what you don't understand." or something like that. I tend to forget quotes.

I showed DDR (because it is very unpopular around here and I bought two mats and some games for myself) to almost every person i know, nyo!
AND there is not a single girl who dislikes the game, but over 60% of the boys said that such a game is stupid, nonsense, etc, nya!
So I think this has nothing to do with open or closed-minded people or something like that, nyo, rather then most of them are ashamed showing themselves jumping around like crazy or they are afraid of loosing their coolness, nyo.
(usually the boys said stuff like this: "Yeah, you can play if ya like, I wait here and watch ya jumping up and down!" And none of them even DARE to try this game, even if they really wanted to. Would be bad for their reputation... Such meanies, nyo!)
