Stop being so condescending, Vangulus. I think you and Xuxa don't understand what I'm asking. Have either of you played DDRMax US? The song Insertion is on the game, and the title is in there, fully intact, in big capital letters. I know that it's slang for having sex (I watch British TV, they use that term all that time), which is reflected in the sexual moaning in the song, which is also left untouched as far as I can tell. I've played 5th Mix and Extreme as well, and the version in those mixes sounds no different from the one in DDR Max. In other words, the song is not censored. Neither of you have actually proved in any way, shape, or form, that it was censored when it jumped from the Japanese games to our shores. Thanks for nothing.

Oy, I neglect to look something up and I've got someone jumping down my throat about the year. I was just going on memory from when I saw a story about the Aum cult (not that specific incident) on a Japanese news program 5 years ago. Guess that'll teach me to trust my own memory.

To pointfiftynine,
No need to throw a hissy fit at us. We know they sound the same on both versions or Max and Extreme.The title was the ONLY thing up with it.The music had nothing to do with it so they didn't censor it.Also the reason they didn't do anything about it was because......
1)The song itself had nothing to do with sex
2)The original meaning of the word gave the censors not enough of a reason to even bother with changing it.
So there ya go.

Apology accepted.  I'm sorry I blew up at you there, too. It was flat out unnecessary. Looking back on it, I don't think I was very clear when I first asked the question, so I can see how you could interpret it differently from how I intended it. |
