Yeah, I've never liked the Healing Vision songs (well, H-D-V was alright).

Is it Opposite Day or something?

No, it is not Opposite Day.

Oh, and by the way, the song is somewhat of a narrative. Though I've probably mentioned this 3 or 4 times since I've joined this place, people still seem unaware.
Before the song, stepchart, and tempo speeds up on the first jump, there is a heartbeat. The moment the tempo increases afterwards, the heartbeat is gone and is replaced by a hospital beep that tracks heart rate. Someone is dying, so the song goes crazy. The beeps gradually get more rapid until the song completely stops mid-way. At the stop, the beep is just one seamless sound, so someone is dead. The song goes crazy again as the constant sound continues until the very end where it suddenly beeps again and the heartbeat returns. The patient is saved, and the music is calm.

Still scared?[/quote]

More scared. Just... it's odd because something draws me to keep listening to it.

lol. You'll get over it. You're definately not the first person I've heard that has felt intimidated to some degree of HVAM. It's just so cool and unlike any other song that it's hard to take in all at one time. E13.gif

At least you now know it is meant to leave listeners on a positive note, despite anything eerie about it.

I love listening to HVAM, it is chaotic yet peaceful.
I am listening to it on iTunes right now.

I think Newgrounds also covered this about three to four year ago.

abyss and the regular healing vision songs scares me.
the art for the song "abyss" looks like aliens, and healing vision just sounds weird, like ghosts.
p.s. if anyone remembers the song "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" by Kanye West i was scared to death of the part where it showed the skinny little black kids that were working in the caves, with their pupils dialated so it looked like their entire eye was black. it got so scary to the point where i had to sleep with a nightlight or with someone in my family, and i couldn't ever hear the song or else i would start fretting, even if i thought of it.(i find it weird i was scared of the song for about 2 years straight, from 10-12, and i still can't see the video or hear the song, but i can think about the song as long as i'm not in the dark.)

Do you freak out when you hear the song "Diamonds are Forever" by Shirley Bassey?

I'm working on a cover for Healing Vision. I just need to find a time when my bassist is free, find out if my guitarist is back from japan yet, and actually get a chance to talk to my synth effects guy. E15.gif

Seriously, I love the buttz off that song. Same with Moonlight Shadow (which I've also put together a cover for). Best song Lyane Leigh ever did. (AKA the singer for Missing Heart [well, one of the two] and E-Rotic; she preformed the song with both groups; probably because it's so fuggin incredible)

i guess HVAM is kinda creepy... in a cool way. it's cool-reepy! biggrin.gif

but what really freaked me out was HYSTERIA. i am afraid of the part in the beginning of the chorus (picture me, i'm on top of the world now or whatever) with the weird fluffy thing in the background ._.;

another thing that scares me was the blob in the beginning of the chrous of kakumei (you know, duh-duh, duh-duh)

yeah, i know, i'm weird riiight.gif

Nope, because i've never heard it. So i'm guessing that the sound clip from kanye's song that sings "Diamonds are forever" is how the song goes? yeah, i'd be scared of it.

TBH, I was freaked out more when I first heard trip machine survivor (or whatever one has that scream)

Or when my hand slipped and I accidently picked "It's raining Men"

I just walked away from the machine.

BOOO!

Good ol' "What's The Wierdest Background?" thread...

DUDE. :O

I have picture quality set to minimum so my web accelerator goes faster... that just makes the picture even more creepy... instead of eyes, they're just white dots... Gah, now I'm all weirded out. >_<

Whenever I start getting freaked out by it, I start singing the song, and remember what the actual movie/musical is about. It's so happy, just a love story; why make the background so freaky? blink.gif

HVAM has to be one of my favorite DDR songs. I like the feeling the song gives you, calm yet chaotic. I understand how it could make someone uncomfortable, though.

What's weird is that once I had a dream where I was playing DDR and there was a song called Twister, with a banner surprisingly similar to Sandstorm. Then in another dream, there was a song with a background very similar to the one in Dark Black Forest. THEN I had a dream that I could control, so I made a custom DDR mix, maybe because I thought of my other dreams. I wanted a remix of Healing Vision, and I thought Angelic Mix seemed to fit it...

Then I played DDR MAX, and saw Sandstorm, DBF, and HVAM. I was shocked because the songs were so similar to the ones in my dream. HVAM surprised me the most, since it had the exactly the same song name as in my dream. Since then, DDR MAX has been my favorite mix to play when I've been tired, and HVAM has made me feel like being in a dream.

What DDR dreams thread?
