You know, not only can you access the all music thing, but you can see more songs by pressing leftsel.gif and rightsel.gif at the same time at the music select.

That'd be nice.

I also hate the flat scrolling notes DDR uses. Especially the transparent note skins that hurt my eyes. Now that they own everything ITG, they ought to think of including cell and metal note skins in their future games.

1) Bigger variety of speed mods like x0.5, x1, x1.5, x2, x2.5, x3, x3.5, x4. I don't think it's really necessary to go higher than that, but I'm sure someone would disagree.

2) More beatmania IIDX crossovers like Mei and waxing and wanding.

3) Elite Mode. Similar to Oni and Nonstop modes, but anything below Perfect would slowly drain your lifebar.

1. Yes. I'd like to play MAX300 on 10x. biggrin.gif

2. If that's the case, then let's relegate ALL future Bemani crossovers to e-Amuse PERMANENTLY. The problem with Bemani crossovers is that they overshadow GOOD DDR Originals like TEARS. As a result, songs like Love<3Shine wind up getting the most playtime.

I dunno if you guys notice this, but PoMu & IIDX communities HATE DDR's because of the forced butchering that THEIR respective originals face when being crossed over to DDR.

3. No batteries, pls.

Have you ever actually PLAYED on one?

Uhh, yes, I've played on a dedicated SuperNova cab, upgraded SuperNova cab, and several dedicated ITG2 cabs. I prefer DDR cab, so what? ITG cab is easier for 11s and 12s, but that's about it. The DDR cab is flashy and fun while the ITG cab/interface feels kinda depressing. It's less like a fun, party game and more like a generic arrow-stomping game.

I am so glad the majority of these people aren't in charge of anything over at Konami.

Me too. It seems like half the comments here are just "list of things ITG has that DDR doesn't." Uhh, instead of hoping DDR will turn into a clone of ITG how about...go play ITG? I don't get it...

Oh I thought of another one. Get rid of the "easy, medium, hard, all music" option and bring back "beginner, light, standard, heavy" with all music enabled for each. Then a system like someone else mentioned could be implemented where you get to choose your ES song and then OMES depends on which ES song you chose. Maybe, if you get AA on a KO you get FAXX, AA on crossovers you get HDV, AA on previous mixes you get FELM, or something like that.

Wow, a good EXTREME original got overshadowed by another EXTREME original? Who would have thought! Curse beatmaniaIIDX, for stealing LOVE SHINE from DDR and making it popular because it sure as hell wasn't before!

Your solution to a rather benign problem is extreme. Crossovers can add a lot to a mix, when used sparingly and effectively, complementing other originals. Anyone hating on DDR because it stole their songs and cut them up even though they don't play DDR and will never have to needs to get their head out of their ass and let DDR solve its own identity crisis here.

Currently, SuperNOVA2's solution is the best one: A small percentage of well chosen crossovers to complement some absolutely amazing originals. It's the best distribution of original DDR music we've seen since MAX2. EXTREME (as much as people love it) and SuperNOVA were travesties in terms of crossover whoring and I do agree that's not the way it should be.

Yeah, I mean just because Konami killed ITG and they will never release another one, why would we want at least some of its features that were superior to DDR's (read: a ton of them) to be implemented when Konami owns it? The official songs on ITG2 will never, ever, EVER get old, even years from now, when another ITG still will not have been released, and it would be ridiculous to think otherwise; although the depressing interface might make us commit suicide by then. SUPER FUN DANCE PARTY TIME WOO!! ^____^;

Contrary to your sarcasm, even IIDXers themselves detest having Love<3Shine in IIDX, on the grounds they don't want their holy ground to be invaded by DDR noobs, who are notorious for whoring the song.

DDR can learn a thing or two from GFdm about crossovers. Heck, a typical GFdm mix doesn't have more than 10 PoMu songs in it.

But, the question that keeps on bugging me is: what took Konami for so long to realize that DDR has been understaffed (read: it's just Naoki Maeda and Dancemania) for about ten years?
