DDR news stopped mattering once EXTREME got old. SuperNOVA is shit, and SuperNOVA 2 will be shit. What Konami does with the game no longer matters, as it'll suck no matter what they do.

Correct. This is exactly the point. Konami's most recent rating is the current official status of the song. |
It's a moot point 'cause they could only get away with rating it lower if they synced it properly, and then it would only be an 8, like Twinbee. (although I'm not sure how they figure on Gradius Cyber as an 8.)
Konami sometimes realises they messed up a rating. That's good. Like making Paranoia Max ~Dirty Mix~ an 8 instead of a 9.
Although they never really fixed the fact that the Standard Chart is a tougher AA than the Heavy chart. I found that really amusing when I first started AAing 8's.

no actually i haven't passed sakura, so what, is that supposed to be a shot at me not being able to pass a song that is considered a 9 now?
i bet that made you feel good, me saying i cant pass sakura. lol

No. Just trying to get it into your head that Konami can change the ratings of their songs, and you'll just have to live with it.

Because it is. This isn't the same as taking Daft Punk's song and having Kanye West barf all over it to make a new song. MAX. (period) follows MAX 300 rather closely in many regards.
