After listening to DDR/ITG songs a lot, regular 3-4 minute songs seemed long because most DDR songs are only about 1 1/2 minutes. Has anyone else experienced this?

Ya I've noticed this I'll listen to songs from DDR and ITG then listen to a regular 3-4 minute song and get bored halve way through the song because it feels to long.

I actually think DDR should have more songs that are about 3-4 minutes. DDR Ultramix 4 is going to have mini megamixes that are about 5 minutes in length, so why not give us the full versions of songs? Seduction(Vocal Remix full version) ftw.

Honestly, I can understand how people want longer songs, but then it would mean more stamina-based stepcharts. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them, but they get boring after a while...

If you're just listening, 90 seconds seems short and 3 minutes seems like normal length, but when you're playing, 90 seconds seems like normal length and 3 minutes seems long. This is not necessarily the case with ITG songs since they are on average longer and usually seem more complete, so to speak.

Exactly.(Try "Look To The Sky~Trance mix~"...ugh..that cut ruined it for me.)

And to keep things interesting, they should make the stepcharts interesting and not just repeat. Songs that change as they progress would benefit from this.

Most of the Onis seems to have bad cuts. At least the True Color mix had a good outro.

Konami Originals are made for DDR, Beatmania, etc. and are approx. 1:30 to begin with (though "long" versions exist for some songs). Licenses have to be edited from their original 3 minute versions.

Listen to the full version on YouTube and tell me the same. It feels short and mixed up. I <3 Me and MY. I think I would know.

But I noticed that the ITG 2 songs are way shorter than the ITG 1 songs. Why would that be?

Sure, you may think that after hearing the full version, but if you've never heard the song, you wouldn't think it's bad.
