I currently have an older red octane pad. I fixed the censors on it only to discover my connection going to the controll box is smashed and part of it is missing.... can this be fixed?

Not worth it.
Save your money and buy a metal pad.
Or, if your good at making things, make Stoli's Chrome Dance Pad like I'm doing. _________________
