USB and Lag Problems At The Arcade?

The machine I play on (ITG2 Dedicab) has developed two very annoying problems.

1) If two players play together it starts lagging - usually after the first song. If only one player is playing it *usually* works fine.

2) When I put my USB in for the first time of the day, it *usually* works for a period of time (could be over an hour) - then it stops working. Specifically, it will load my name in, but then when the song selection comes up - it changes to No Name. Once this happens, even if my card shows statistics and my name - it fails to save. I have seen this No Name thing happen with other people too, not just my USB. For some people, the USB never works at all - even though it does on other machines.

Does anybody know what the problem is and better yet - how to fix it?

Restarting the machine by unplugging and re-plugging the machine in usually solves most of my USB problems. It also helps with a lot of lag problems as well.

If your machine has added songs then it might also lag a bit more and you'll have to restart it more. I find this common on machines that are in 24/7 arcades.

Yeah, I have the same problem also, but mine doesnt work at all. Maybe it could be the software that is pre-loaded on my USB drive, not sure.

we dont have a dedicab, but we have a POS that used to have that problem with the lagging and the USB problem, but ive experienced the NoName thing when i leave the flash drive in after it saves and play another game right after that. only thing i can suggest is if you're gonna play multiple chains of games, remove the card and input it again after the icon disappears or resart the machine.
