Actually the only thing Betson could have done wrong is improperly design the hardware, such that the audio and visual signals are slightly out of sync with each other. This still would've been an easy problem to fix, given a few more months. However, in that Konami-Roxor lawsuit that many folks have probably forgotten about, the deadline for discovery is October 17th, 2006 (for those that may not know, that's the day by which all relevant information that will be used in the case must be collected by both parties). I'm not quite alone when I initially had the suspicion that SN only existed because of potential court evidence. So one way or the other, Konami rushes the game--maybe they don't test enough (or really care), maybe if it were a Betson hardware issue they say "we don't care, release it now anyway," something along those lines. That gives the game a few months to be out and make some profit figures, so then in court Konami can say "look we still make this game in the arcades and it makes all this money so it's not unpopular" OR, if it doesn't rake in profits, they can try to say "look Roxor is sucking away our profits, other games made X dollars, SN has only made X/4 dollars," or whatever. In summary, I think SN, at least this first run of it, is nothing more than a piece of court evidence. You can extrapolate yourselves what to make of it, if Konami doesn't care about its fans, if it's bad for business (if the people who play the first run thought it was awful, how likely are them to play it later, even if the problems get fixed?), or whatever. I myself haven't seen anything to make me believe SN isn't just the "we still make this game" thing, and I think this is a rather plausible possibility.

No they do not; as per usual, you are wrong about everything. RedOctane is the software distributor of ITG1 PS2. Roxor is still the owner and proprietor of ITG.
