1. It is the original.
2. The only reason it doesn't have hands and poopy is because generic copyright code loopholers create dance games to get in the business too, and must have new gimmics(?).
3. The music is better, sorry but Japanese(?) music is just better to dance to than ITG crap
4. Konami put hard work into creating this game and other companies bought it to cut and paste the programing into their own game.
Not to smash PUI, it is a mock up, but not completly, is fun to play and is uniqe in its own ways |
If you're going to sit there and shit on your keyboard and hope it comes out even half-intelligent, then I'm going to make you look like the fucking idiot you are.
1. Using punch cards for your computer is more original than your current operating system. CLEARLY PUNCH CARDS ARE SUPERIOR.
2. There is no disceranable point here. It sounds like you're trying to hate on the StepMania coders, but even the most vehement of ITG haters who have even a shred of intellect don't try to act like SM itself is bad. Hands just aren't in DDR because Konami didn't want to put them in there. It's not like Hands are THE defining point of ITG anyway (unless you're a moron; then every chart has hands and Pandemonium Expert is the only chart in existence as far as you care).
3. You cannot PROVE that it's better to dance to, as it varies from person to person indefinitely. If people like J-Pop and Naoki's eurocheese, good for them. If people like ITG's trance, more power to them.
4. I cannot be convinced that Konami works hard on this game. They have been turning out the exact same game for a while with no significant gameplay enhancement. Every new IIDX style has its speed mods improved, DDR has nothing. The first run of SuperNova machines are ridiculously offsync, a problem that is unbelievably easy to fix and ought to have been caught on the very first day of testing. Most of the new charts are typical 7-8 foot fare, which nothing notably special about them, just regular old 1/8th note charts and very few 9s or higher to be found (when there's no reason why they CAN'T have more 9s through the Challenge difficulty). Konami honestly seems to have this as their creed of DDR: "Nostalgia is better than quality." Sure they will continue to make money off all the braindead fansheep who will play the game for no other reason than the fact that it's DDR and/or possibly because it comes from Japan. And of course, ITG uses the SM code, code that is VASTLY different from the actual code used for DDR. ITG didn't "buy" any code from DDR.
5. PIU came out at basically the exact same time as DDR. DDR could actually be accused of stealing from it. No one knows all the details about Konami and Andamiro, because one of the outcomes was that the court documents and such information were never to be made public.
I suspect that you don't have any information of your own on this subject (if what you have even classifies as "information"); more likely, you just know how to imitate what other mindless DDR players say on the Internet. _________________

Not to mention % scoring, a graph to show you exactly when in the song you screwed up, how many jumps you missed, how many freezes you missed, how many mines you hit.
Heck, I'll be honest, the 2 main reasons I play ITG are
1) Expert charts. I'm sorry DDR fanboys if I like to be challenged in more than 3 songs
2) Vastly superior scoring system. Which is more vague, AA or 95.37%?
Yeah, that's what I thought. Counting greats can work, sure, but it only really works if the person you're talking to knows how many steps are in it or at least a rough estimate. ITG provides ALL of DDR's scorings PLUS more. _________________

Yeah. ITG scoring is great. It's also much more acurate. What could be an A on DDR's scoring system could turn out to be an A- on ITG's. Even if percentage wasn't there it'd still be better.
I beleive in Expert mode. Even though I can only do hard . Once I've mastered Hard I'll still have somewhere to go. On DDR once I've become too good for 10 footers, DDR will have nothing left to offer me that would keep me playing. And I'm getting better and better at 10 footers, so that shouldn't be long (or maybe it will, it all depends on when the machine owner decides he's going to unlock the songs). |
