Well..
Last year, before I started playing DDR, I weighed 270 pounds.
I started playing DDR in March, 2005.. So before I played, I weighed that much.
It's not like I sat around and stuffed my face..
My thyroid has been underactive since the age of 3.
When I was little I had bladder problems, and the hospital put radioactive dye in me.
They never told my mom that it could effect my thyroid.
Since June 2005, I have been on pills for my thyroid (hormone replacement therapy), and have lost almost 80 pounds.
I currently weigh 195 pounds..
And all I do is play DDR every Friday without failure, sometimes other random days.
I don't pay attention to what I eat, but I drink a lot of water. It helps.

are you saying it's not because of DDR, or somewhat?

That was fun to read. I think he or she ment was that he or she lost some weight from ddr or the pill. How can you tell if they loss weight from a pill or ddr?

i haven't, but it helped me maintain weight. if it weren't for DDR, i'd be huge. i'm still growing a bit, so i'm still gaining weight (and height). my calves are a lot more muscular. i kinda stopped because i have no ps2 pad, have no money for a cobalt flux (and probably wouldn't buy one, don't want to spend too much money even if the pad is good), and i got bored of the ultramixes.

a bit off topic, but anyone know a good pad that works for x-box and ps2? i'd probably start playing again and lose a bit of weight (since i'm close to overweight)

I lost 20 pound and still loosing pounds.. If ya' wanna lose some fat, do what I do: A strict diet no meat, sweets, junk food, just stick with the fruits and veggies. Also when you play DDR, do fast pace songs...Makes you sweat harded therefore burin' fat..But don't starve yourself, you need the energy to DANCE!

You still need protien, so I dont know why you cut out meat (unless it was ribboned with fat, in that case you would need lean meat instead). And sweating harder does make you lose weight, but its from the fluids lost and youll gain it back in an hour or so.

I on the other hand, I weighed 140 something back in July 2005. Today, I weigh 143, keeping that a constant weight and still trying to get rid of the approximate inch or two of fat left around various parts of my body. Thanks DDR! E4.gif

I've been doing DDR and dieting (not very strictly though) for less than a month and when I went to the doctor today I found out that I lost 8 pounds!

I started playing a few years ago, on and off. But I just started playing again this week, I started at 145 lbs and now I'm at 143 lbs. I eat meat, veggies, some fruit (they are loaded with sugars), and I drink tea and water, occasionally soda. But I usually play on light/standard, it is better to play for 1-2 hours than to play 30 minutes and collapse on the nearest cushion. I am also going to start to run to get my endurance up.

I have something to say about this DDR weight loss that would relate to topic in a way.

laugh.gif

go watch "Love on a Diet" a HK movie starring, Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng.

in parts of the movie they show them sweating it out on a DDR machine.
