|
|
Hi all -- I'm sure this has been asked before, but I wondered if there are any good converters for my CF hard pad -- I'd like to try out the XBox ultramix games but I'm not going back to a soft pad!
I was thinking something like this:

But I worry that it would miss steps or something... anybody know of a good one that works? |

That really looks like a Red Octane converter rebadged. Your success will really depend on what control box revision you get. The Innex converter seems to fare better for PS2->Xbox conversion than the Red Octane stuff does.
When I spoke with Ivory @ Cobalt Flux, she said they use a Gemini universal converter and it works 100% of the time.
I dunno.. see my thread on firmware revisions if you're really interested in what your shot is at getting a converter to work. |

1. Goto Ebay.com
2. Seach for "DDR PS2 Xbox Conterver"
3. Go through listings until you find one with a switch for DDR, Regular and a Wheel. It will cost about $5.99 to $8.99 depending on the listing, theyre all the same just go for the cheapest. The watermark on the picture will say INNEX (Not Intrex...)
4. Buy it
5. Wait a week

And be aware that those converters dont work with doubles.
Also, I have a control box here that will not work with the Innex converter. Granted, its only 1 out of 4 of the control boxes I have that won't work with it but the point is, its not a given that that control box is going to work 100% of the time. |
