I have NEVER had any framerate issues, even when playing Maxx Unlimited with 4 people on heavy, with all dancers and backgrounds on.....
if you don't scratch the disk and take good care of your xbox, the only problem remaining with UM2 is the timing window....UM1 still provides me the best DDR experience out of every USA DDR game I've ever played (which happens to be ALL OF THEM)
ITG on Xbox would be amazing, but I doubt there would be a large enough fan base to support such a product.....it's definitely not as mainstream as DDR...but we can dream, can't we? _________________

It's that simple. do_da_cha_cha wrote: | if you don't scratch the disk and take good care of your xbox | Nice insinuation, but my disc is flawless, and the skips happen even when I run the game from the HD (which I do to save wear-and-tear of the DVD drive motor). And this is a widely acknowledged problem - it's not just a couple of people that have the problem. _________________

Hey, no fair. Only I'm allowed to say that. But, Konami did pretty well with Silent Hill on the Xbox at least.
And, I agree 100%. How in the hell is it that Extreme had such silky smooth framerates while you had UM/UM2 with its herky jerky arrows and framerates (it was like playing PIU.. but WORSE). Maybe they used the MGS2S engine by accident. |

mod the box and get Stepmaniax for your xbox thats what i did, and got all of the ITG songs to date from ITG and ITG2 works just fine with me with very little load times, the only pain was loading the first time I had to play the game and that was because i had to load about 550 songs and they had to be put in the stepmaniax cache it took about 30 mins but after that it works fine |

trust me, I know what a framerate slowdown looks like.....after playing half-life 2 with my crappy video card, I can tell pretty well
I even have framerate issues with other games like Halo 2 and Fable on my Xbox....but never DDR....it's extremely bizarre
I've wanted a mod chip for so long but xbox live is essential to me.... _________________

i have a chipped box with stepmania and i have been on live for about 3 months or so
there are plenty of sights to get u 1337 on xbox modding
edit: going through the right procedure any xbox with a mod chip can go on xbl and be un detected as long as your chip is not activated and your not using modified content on xbl |

I'm a big Xbox fanboy through and through, but Cutriss is correct on this one.` _________________

I know full and well how they can and cannot detect modified hardware. theinsanitytest wrote: | there are plenty of sights to get u 1337 on xbox modding | Yeeeeah. You've had your box modded for three months. I've had mine modded for almost two years now. I don't think I need any "sights" to help me get 1337 on modding. I run a v1.0 with a 120GB HD and a split TSOP with X2-4977 in one bank and retail in the other with an external switch mount under the front grille. I think I'm fine, thank you. _________________

well i meant that you can have an xbox and have a chip and go on xbl, not that going online with the chip would help you a lot
also when i mentioned about other sights it wasn't entirly directed towards you cutriss, (i had a feeling that you had a level of expertise in that area ) and yeah i know i am a horrible speller
i have had my box modified for about 14-15 months, i finally got around to modifing the modifying the eeprom to go on xbl, I first had a x2 but got a x3, I have a 1.0 running 3294 x3 bios
i'm not trying to start any fights |

i cant belive it i work 2 shifts at two different jobs and when i get home my brother tells me that he was playing ITG at bestbuys and the kicker is that he said it was 2 RO's hocked up to a xbox, my brother said he saw the pads hooked up to the xbox and he said that it was ITG with a percent bar and the bar on the side and their was hands. i'm not sure if this is true but he never played or heard of ITG and he only knew it was ITG because when you started it said In The Groove and he told me all the details of it and they were exaclty like the arcade
just thought i should put that out there
i am going to go check it out somtime this week and confirm i'll keep ya updated |
