There's an introduction thread which is a sticky in the forum, DDR Chit-Chat. You should utilize that.
Also, regaring your "how to use an avatar" thing, there's a help section in the FAQ IIRC.

Since you're also apparently new to English, it's "In this forum," not "In this forumS."
yah my gf just corrected me like seven or eight times on gramatical mistakes lol.

You get an Avatar by hosting an image offsite and then linking to it in your profile if it is under the correct size restrictions. Our FAQ has more information.
