Let's calm down and be civil here, kids. People are bound to have differing opinions, respect other people's opinions and yours will be respected in return. _________________

Personally I don't collect the domestics, but I share the opinion that if you can't make them harder than a 5 or 6 on Heavy, then they shouldn't put more than one or two of them in DDR. 5 and 6 foot difficulty would be easy enough made into a Standard song. For those that think that's too hard, there's light and beginner for you.
Also, I do honestly love the music from Beatmania IIDX, but I'd like to see new songs in DDR and not just cross overs. I think Ultramix and Festival proved that you get some pretty stupid steps out of some of those songs.
I don't listen to the radio. I don't like most new "music" but I'd love to see Daft Punk and a few other songs I've heard at the club in a DDR mix (blah blah blah crap about having Stepmania and that I should do it myself) but again, I don't collect domestics, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion about the question. _________________

I like how Kevin makes a whole nother set of unbacked up points.
How are they crap?
How does DDR make them sound stupider than they already are?
Do you have proof they NEVER get hard? I'm looking at you, Move Your Feet and Music... |

Could you at least respond to my question of WHY you don't want mainstream songs in ddr, or give me your definition of mainstream for me? | ok you want an answer! mainstream songs are CRAP they will never get hard , and they make them sound more stupid than they already are! there happy now! and in my point of view mainstream means songs that came out on the radio! or you still don't know what it means!? : |
You know what, that's about the exact answer I expected.
Thanks. | hey no problem! |

*points to Music and Like a Virgin, both liscenced songs* 8 footers.
And you never said that(especially to me) before. And only the Kareoke Revolution crossovers don't have the original vocalists. Move Your Feet and like, every other liscence has the original vocalist. |

Bouncer, you're not adding shit to the conversation either, hun.
As far as mainstream music goes, it really depends on the genre of music. I listen to a lot of trance and house, which, licensed or not, could be a feasible addition to DDR (quite a bit of the unlicensed stuff already is). Rock genres would have a harder time getting into the game arguably because of a lack of real "danceability".
Adding mainstream music would probably lead to an increase in the number of buyers for a specific game, but not necessarily for the subsequent releases. |

Pointing out that his points are false is adding something, saying "LOL nice words" is not.
Hey kids, spot the irony in this post and win a prize! ^^' |

nah, those songs would be way too slow.
96? true, alot of them arent good. and some are only that slow in parts of the song.
|
you missed my point; most "mainstream songs" are less than 125BPM and for this reason alone are very inappropriate for DDR.
There are only a handful from that list you presented that are actually in Extreme, and maybe half of those are actually decent to play.
If you want irrefutable proof, check Pump It Up out, most songs in most versions clock in at about 90BPM and are pretty damn easy to ace; if you're not careful you'll surely catch narcolepsy. _________________
