If they don't get it for you, deal with it. That's how life is.
Stop fuking whining and if you want it so bad, go buy it your self.

Anyway...to answer you're question...
If you're too young to get a job, you may have trouble saving up to get a metal pad. Maybe get some friends to loan you cash and pay them back?
If you can get a job, then I suggest you do so.
If you don't have a credit card to order, then give money to a friend and have them order it. _________________

You could always go work on the street corner for some quick cash. Just be careful of the cops.
kidding. Do what you can to pay for it if the issue is them buying it. If you just can't convince them to let you, stick them on max 300 on a regular soft mat and then take them to the arcade and force them to do it on a metal one. Ask them which was more useful. The bar might help out here. _________________

slip on the soft pad, break a few bones, and say "THIS WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU HAD BOUGHT ME THE METAL ONE!!!"
lol
umm, the way I got mine was that there is no insulation (the pink cottony stuff) between downstairs and upstairs, so the noise when jumping on a soft pad is unbearable for my parents, who sleep downstairs. So, they bought me the metal pad in hopes that noise would be reduced drastically, and whammo, it worked.
oh, and don't go ripping out that insulation, if you happen to be that desperate. it itches when you touch it, and if you tear it in the wrong places, you can say bubye to your house I just didn't have much insulation to begin with, so it worked out for me. _________________

and then maybe you'll get one. | if that worked i would have gotten 1,000 DDR arcades by now, i swear
what you need to do is make some rich friends
OR
do what im doing, i get 10 dollars a week and 50 a month, get a job somewhere small, like taco bell if you do, dont go eating tacos everywhere you see them, you'll get fired on the spot. what im also trying to do with my parents is to say "if you get me this i will not ask you for anything else for 1 year" i did this over 3 times, it no longer works for me but i hope it does with you. good luck _________________

Just be mature about it and if they don't get you one it's not the end of the world. |
I agree with this post.
Focus your selling point to health benefit. Over weight or not, consistent exercise is great for everyone. Including your parents. If they say they are too old to play DDR, direct them to old folkâs thread here in DDR chitchat or Game play board. There are many of us that are older then your parents and getting great benefit from it including increase stamina to run up the stairs without getting heart attack
In addition, explain benefit of metal pad. Such as allow you to keep shoes on which help you from hurting your joints, increase accuracy of the steps, which encourage you to keep playing (working out). |
