This might be a stupid question, but do we even know if there is a new arcade mix in the making? _________________

I dont think its dieing anywere in Kansas City. The prolem here is that there are alot of haters who "have no skill so have resorted to making fun of the people who play it until we decide to confront them with a fist in there face " ya there are tonz more haters then players in KC, or atleast were I play. _________________

| Participation on the pads vary. I dont think its necessarily dead as much as it is at a moot point because weve done just about everything there is to do on the machine. I do my part to keep the game alive by playing when I can because Ive loved it for a long time. Too bad I cant do the same for SC2. The fighters have all gone to Capcom, so that is where I must go. |

No, there isn't. Extreme was the last mix made in Japan. They don't make DDR machines anymore. They only do it in batches, so you have to special order them.
DDR is certainly not dying in America. It has about 3 or 4 good years left before people start getting bored with their god like abilities on the pad. There always seems to be a new generation of players that are better than the generation before them, however. The young kids these days who AAA 10's and 9's have more potential and time to work with. They will be the new masters that keep DDR alive and popular in America. _________________

Konami only closed their American CoinOp division down. The Japanese CoinOp division is still up. Why do you think they're making such a fuss over IIDX RED? _________________

KCET used a third party manufacturer to distribute DDR EXTREME AC. Their division IS down. |

True, however In the Groove requires a DDR machine to upgrade. Unfortunately, if there aren't any new machines being made, then all the old machines will slowly wear down, or DDR won't be able to spread as much. In order for it to move to a new area, the machines would have to leave an old area. _________________
