Until recently, all the guys I met playing DDR were local jobless bums that should be living in their parents basement, instead living off other people's goodness or their parent's money in another place.
Recently they've had jobs, nerd, trekkie, virgin (doesn't apply to all), Bemani enthusiasts that all reside online and live in other states. Thank goodness for DDR Freak.
P.S. Hello page 10
And because I'm curious, I created a poll just for all of this Ask the Bemani players. _________________

... I really don't think it's that special, a girl play with me... Yay... She pick song, I do it on maniac, she does it on standard, doesn't make me feel good... or she does standard and I #&Q* around like a ninny, but pass anyway...
Now if she wants to FS with me, then its time to get all googy-ga-gah... _________________

I personally don't play the Maxes very much because I like other songs much more. MaxX Unlimited I'm still unable to pass on Standard, the quick jumps and I don't get along. I don't mind any of them on light, I just don't play them often. _________________

I'd play against Darkside, funky or no ...

i think it's just you dude. the maxs songs don't intimidate me at all, it's just that i haven't played them as much as others. and they're not really as fun as other songs, but if someone wants me too, i'll play on light _________________

I'd have to say that this is probably the most entertaining thread I have EVER seen on any forum. I laughed, I cried, I was in suspense, I laughed some more. Seriously though, I think that girls are girls, and if that's a commonality you have with somone (I make it a habit to check ID's before asking numbers now cause of one incident,) power to ya.
Now, with me turning 22 and all in May, I'm quite excited to see DDR become even more popular as time progresses. I swear the local fanbase of DDR in my hometown has doubled. Unfortunately, it seems to be a male trend here. Elsewhere, it's all younger girls who are into the whole fake, rave scene (which is illegal here,) but whatever, it makes it stay in the US so I'm happy.
What I'd really like to see is less pussified "young adults" who arn't afraid of their self portrayed "image" and will play the game. It's quite lonely having DDR friends who can't even buy a pack of cigs let alone a beer. Know what I mean? I'm trying to do my part, (wether it contains flirting to get them to do it or not,) to get older females into DDR, and hopefully, they'll make older males play.
I'm sorry, I got waaaaay off topic, but if you only read the first part it's on. I'd like to see this in a DDR hall of fame. There's so many quote's I'm gonna pull from here alone and stick on my site.

There were some funny memories on this thread, it seems like so long ago when I first posted that question. I'll have to go back and read this whole thing again. _________________

| nheyne wrote: | Does that mean she digs you? I'm not talking about someone you know or your friends, but a total stranger. I was at a local arcade tonight with some friends and I wanted to show off to them by playing a song backwards (to them this is one of the coolest things ever). This girl, maybe early 20's, was watching and after I was done, she started clapping really hard and she told me "that was the coolest thing I've ever seen". I had been dancing with a friend so I wasn't alone, and she asked if she could dance with me. I had already done my 3 songs and was stepping off the machine to leave, so it was kind of like she was asking me if I wanted to dance with her. I don't know, maybe I was reading it wrong. But a strange girl asking to dance with you seems kind of weird, and my friends all told me how funny it was, even calling her my "groupie".
Anyway, opinions? |
um i am just able to post today, so im happy, and ive had that happen to me once, and only once.....and me and her have been going out for 4 years and 3 days _________________

May I ask: Then why do you even bother posting in this thread? |
I just had to see what someone would say in defense.
It's funny just imagining some kid playing ddr, when sudenly a girl shows up and he gets all nervous and hides in the corner watching her. |
