I agree with you, Ryu.

Personally, I would rank myself as an 7-8. I can AAA heavy songs and pass all but PSM:O, but compared to some of these guys that I see winning tournaments I'm mediocre. There is a curve that is very steep once you hit that area, but I think a line needs to be drawn somewhere to signify mastery (10 status) and that line should be guys like Yasu and JSB. If we use a machine perfect as a 10, not only does everyone get rated at like a 4, but it clumps really good players right next to mediocre players in terms of rating. I'm all for a strict rating system but one that has a better distribution than a 100%AAA = 10.

im probably a 8 or 9... can pass all 9 feet i come across, usually B+ em while sight reading, and can pass 2 of the maxes on heavy.

if you dont have heavy AAAs you are automaticially less than an 8

Eep. This rating-scale is making me think twice about my DDR skills.

By general standards (not including AAA's), but based on technique and what not, I'd say I'm about a 7.5.

According to players on the West Coast, I'd probably be around a 5. Maybe less.

...and to the current 1-10 scale on this forum, where AAA's are included, I'll give myself a 3.
